Hi Hopefully there are quite a few of you out there that have fitted poly bushes to their car. I have got to put new bushes on the front, but when it comes to fitting there doesn't seem to be enough room for it all to go onto the tie bar without a lot of pressure? Anyone got any ideas? The bushes are from Outlaw only because I have had such good recommendations for them.
Cheers
Matt

I haven't used theirs.

But I know the Deflex ones dont use the plastic isolator.

So the layers go..

Washer.
Bush.
Bracket.
Bush.
Washer.
Nut.

Mk1 may be different.
:eh:

Is it a MK1 or MK2 Matt?

I use floflex bushes and they press into the tie bar mounts with a little bit of pressure, sometimes getting the metal insert in can be tough but using a vice makes them go in nicely.

you really should'nt need to use massive force to get them in.

Hi Thanks for the reply's, The car in question is actually my wife's Quantum 2+2 and it is based on a mk2 XR2, so as you can imagine it has got to be right!

The issue was the grey inserts so removing them from the equation should mean they would fit perfectly.

I must admit judging by the quality of the bushes I will be shopping at Outlaw again.

Once again many thanks
Matt

Yeh poly bushes don’t use the plastic insert as you have a metal insert between the two bushes.
