Not without drilling the Zetec head.
But the Zetec thermostat housing is better.
It has the bypass valve, which often can cause issues when it's bypassed.

There's a guy on ebay that makes adapter plates for cvh housing on a zetec head

It's to do with how the zetec thermostat unit and the cvh unit work.
The zetec unit has the bypass system in it that allows hot water to flow from the thermostat back to the pump when the water is too cold to open the thermostat and route via the radiator.
Some of this travels via the cab heater.
The cvh thermostat doesn't have the bypass, so in some rare cases. Especially in cars that have the cab heater removed, the engine can suffer hot spots where the water isn't flowing properly, and these can cause failures.

Personally, unless you have a very good reason not to use the zetec thermostat housing, I'd use that.

Jason.

I know people do use the cvh ones.
But when you read up on the kit car and rwd forums where people remove the zetec thermostat or bypass the bypass pipe, often there seem to be problems.

I aim to put a 2.0 zetec in my Cortina.
I will be using the zetec thermostat.. Somehow. Along with a proper header tank.

As mentioned you'd need one of these, there used to be some constantly on ebay but i haven't seen any in a while. I got mine on here though as part of a package from a ZT mk2 that was being broken up

That's probably what I will be doing.
I don't intend on using any of the kits that are around.
