Yes I know theres wiring guides but im a spaz and they literally make no sense so any very basic help would be great

First of all this is a blacktop into a mk2 fiesta. Will be used in zetec turbo form. I'll be using an omex 600 ecu
Do I need a separate loom?
Where do the 3 wires that would go to the coil on a cvh go on a zetec conversion?
What do I do with the wires that on a cvh are for the dizzy plug?

I know I must seem stupid but thats because I am. Ta very much for any help lads

There's your first problem there.
Two wires and a ht lead go to/from the cvh coil..
:)

Dizzy plug?
You can either....
Cut it off. Hide it or use it.
12v cranking power, earth and coil negative ( rev counter signal )

Jason.

I have a blank Omex 600 loom with the proper ecu multiplug here. It's second hand, was used on an mx5 so the guy kept his connectors. I just took the lazy option and got a ready built loom from http://www.harnessing-solutions.co.uk/ I have wiring diagrams somewhere

Any use to ya?

Loom wise im good mate thanks though im getting one off OC motorsport pre built
So I take it its just the wiring I need to sort and connect the ecu loom to the sensors once its connected to the ecu then I should be good to go right?

The OMEX loom will be your entire bay loom. All the CVH stuff you don't need.

If you're smart you'll dig out the old Rab EFI diagram and use that wire in a plug in your bay ready for a zetec loom (Or Omex or whatever else) to just plug into ,its all the same. That plug will provide live, ignition live, earth, fuel pump, injectors via relays, oil pressure switch etc, all in the diagram.

Then you just plug in your engine bay loom and connect all the plugs

I was going to say, I'd imagine all you need for omex will be 12v ignition cranking live, earth and the feed to the rev counter.

The megajolt looms I build connect that way.
Omex won't need anything more from the fiesta loom than that.
CPS, injectors, TPS, coil pack etc will all be provided by the Omex loom.

Jason.

You'll still need to have your own injector and fuel pump circuit though the omex will drive the relays

Oh right!

I've learnt something new!
I was under the impression it was all done by the Omex. Sure I read that once anyway....

Injectors and pumps draw too many amps for the electronics in an ECU to provide. That's why they just control a relay with a puny signal which in turn switches on the full power juice pretty much straight from the battery to those components. when the ECU switches off the puny signal, the relay opens and the power is cut of, that's how it works.
