Single Wiper Conversion

Step 1

First of all either get a straight wiper arm off a car at the scrappy or straighten your existing wiper arm with a bit of brute force.

Step 2

On the back of the wiper motor is a small bar that spins in circles, extend the short bar by about 15-20mm (just need a welder and part of the bar that goes to the second arm). This gives the wiper a full clearance of the screen.

Step 3

If you mess with the angle of this bar as it is attached to the motor, you can adjust the on screen resting position of the wiper (some people like the touring car centre position, some like it offset, etc). Also if you use a 19" blade then it will give maximum screen clearance as it only just fits.
